7 Covid Free Destinations You can Travel To This Summer

The waiting hasn’t been easy. We understand! All of us are tired of hearing news about travel restrictions, lockdowns, and flight cancellations, over and over again. It can be difficult to imagine what our future travel plans will look like, at this point in time. There hasn’t been a year before where understanding the future of travel has been more important. ‘Revenge travel’ is the new term coined for people looking to move out, in a bid to escape the lockdown boredom.  This is a quick reminder to let you know that many international destinations have opened up now, and are welcoming travelers. Here’s a list of 7 destinations where you can plan your summer vacation to. 

 

1) Madeira Island, Portugal

The Madeira Islands are an archipelago of small islands located in the Atlantic Ocean about 350 miles from Morocco. The two main inhabited islands are Madeira and Porto Santo. • No quarantine or other restrictions apply for fully vaccinated tourists or those presenting a PCR COVID-19 test taken not earlier than 72 hours before arrival. 
• Masks are not mandatory on beaches and pools, while restaurants and culture clubs can host up to six people per table.

3) The Azores, Portugal

The Azores is blessed with captivating landscapes, fishing villages, flowery ways, and green pastures. • Testing is not required for vaccinated travelers. Non-vaccinated people traveling to Greece from foreign countries will be required to show a negative molecular test result (PCR) for COVID-19, performed up to 72 hours before their arrival. This includes arrivals by land and by air. The certificate should be written in English and include the name and passport number or national identification number of the traveler.

• No quarantine is required (In the event of a positive result, travelers will be contacted and placed on a 14-days quarantine, with expenses covered by the Greek state).

•  Hotels, shops, and restaurants are open.  

6) Canary Islands, Spain

• Denmark decided, in February 2021, to set up vaccine passports allowing citizens vaccinated against Covid-19 to resume normal life, in complete safety. 

• This Covid-19 Vaccine passport is not only for Danish citizens. Denmark undertakes to recognize vaccine passports issued at the international and European levels. 

• Once vaccinated in your country of origin and in possession of your proof of vaccination, you can enjoy cafes, restaurants, concerts, without additional tests.
• Of course, you can always, if you have not been vaccinated yet, stay in Denmark with a recent Covid-19 test (72 hours before your departure).
