Amsterdam is known for its golden age canals, artistic heritage, museums hoarded with treasures, vintage shops, and so on. No matter where you go in this city, you will find creativity. Netherland’s capital has so much to offer that it’s quite difficult to list out all the tourist attractions. So here’s a list of some of the best places to visit in Amsterdam.
Until 1953, Vondelpark used to be a place where only the people from higher strata of the society could hang out. However, things have changed and the park is now open to all. The park has cycle ways, green lawns, lovely ponds with swans, cafes serving yummy food, pedestrian bridges, and meandering footpaths.
A normal day in Vondelmark has teenagers playing football, tourists enjoying themselves, youngsters on skateboards, cart-wheeling children and so on. It’s a place where you can have a lot of fun just by sitting and observing people engrossed in various activities.
The Anne Frank Huis is one of the most popular tourist sites in Netherlands. This plays add an extra flavor to your visit if you’ve read “The Diary of Anne Frank”. Here you get to see a glimpse of the life that Frank led through Anne’s bedroom, her famous diary, Secret Annexe, and other objects.
It’s the rear house completely dark and airless where the Frank family lived in hiding before they were forced into the concentration camps by the Nazis. Anne’s diary describes their lives in the Secret Annexe which is sure to tear your heart in two with its melancholic descriptions.

It’s a treat for art lovers. Get ready for one of the best art-orgasms you will ever have. It’s such a soul-stirring and heartening experience to see the progression of Van Gogh’s works from his early career to the end of his life. You get a chance to see his masterpieces as well as works that you might be unfamiliar with. Not just Van Gogh, the museum also houses paintings by many other well-known contemporaries like Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec, Monet and Bernard.

A’DAM Tower is a 22-storey tower in Amsterdam that is full of fun and adventure. Head to the terrace for incredible views and a huge four-person swing that will make you feel like you’re at the edge of the world.
Warning: Do not try the swing if you fear heights.
Other than the rooftop delights, there are many things you can do in the other floors of the tower.
De Hallen is a beautiful lively cultural complex in Amsterdam comprising of a food hall, a family eating place, a library, design stores, a movie hall, and a hotel.
