Construction on the temple started in the late 1990s and was finished in 2012. In addition to being the largest Radha Krishna temple in Tamil Nadu, this temple in Chennai is the largest ISKCON temples in India. Admire the aesthetics: The stunning building was designed under Sri Bhanu Swami and was influenced by the Pallava and Kalinga kingdoms. The beautiful design of several Hindu universes can be seen on the marble flooring at the temple's entryway. Mount Meru, a central pillar, encircles the numerous universes. The design is based on Mount Meru, depicted as the center of all galaxies in the ancient Vedic Puranas. Discover the chakras that line the temple-body purusha on the steps, admire the lovely glass paintings of the Lord's avatars ruling the eight directions, and more! The temple is a synthesis of many civilizations and cutting-edge technological innovations: The administrators of the temples host talks and audio-visual programs about Hindu philosophy to draw more and more individuals to the ISKCON movement. Re-spiritualize civilization and spread Vedic wisdom to every nook and cranny: ISKCON offers age-appropriate programs to accomplish this goal. There are daily Bhagavatam and Bhagavad-gita lectures and courses specially designed for kids, teenagers, families, and seminars. About a hundred centers all over the city host these programs. By selecting a book from the extensive library, you can unlock the door to the Vedic knowledge vault: The two books with the highest global sales are Bhagavad-gita and Bhagavatam. Pick from the extensive selection of divine gifts, including posters, picture frames, dolls, key chains, bags, traditional skirts, and kurtis, to name a few. Meeting rooms are a great place for some quality time: The Radha Krishna temple in Chennai provides a stunning and serene setting for meditation and devotion. Here, several amenities are available, including a 700-seat Sri Radha Krishna Kalyana Mandapam and a 150-seat AC mini hall. These are utilized for our sermon series, seminars, and cultural events.
